Who's behind Felix
Felix is designed and built by Gabriel Loewen. Gabriel holds a Ph.D. in computer science (2015), with research focused on cloud and distributed systems, and has spent more than 25 years building software and systems that scale.
Felix started from a premise Gabriel wanted to test: that one append-only log is flexible enough to be the foundation for streams, caches, queues and counters, instead of a separate system for each. It is built to keep its promises when brokers crash, disks fail and networks split, and tested against exactly those faults.
It is developed in the open. Questions, bug reports and pull requests are welcome on GitHub.
